Here are some hummingbird photos taken with film using an Nikon N90s with negatives scanned by an Epson negative scanner. The light and composition are obviously better with the film photos. The digital photos were taken on my deck (me standing inside the open sliding door) on an obviously overcast day. I really just want to compare the level of detail you can get with a digital camera. The digital camera is a Nikon D90. I am still learning to use it and do not feel that the photos were downloaded with the highest resolution. I have not even loaded the Nikon software. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 to make the photos approximately the same size. I hate JPEG. I had to transform the scanned photos from TIF to JPEG to load to this site. Anyway, all things considered, the detail with the digital camera is pretty good. The photos have not been processed or enhanced in any way other than to change the file format and to equalize the size. CRAP! The files are too big. I'll have to get back to this after I reduce the size of the files
